I didn’t expect the Cutest to hold its own so easily. I mean the A26 should be more detailed with a bigger soundstage. And cutest sound brighter too. I’m confused.

In reply to Stefano. I am not sure I would agree that gapless playback is a 'severe issue'. I see them as feature requests and one that is most personal to you and others that need it. Of course, having it is better than not, but issues to me revolve around things that are there that are not working and critical to playback in general.

In the opening paragraph you state: “…their new Sabre DAC, the A26” yet it uses the AKM chipset as you detailed. It doesn’t use an ESS Sabre DAC.
