You might want to consider the R5 II instead for those features? Its a regular Android platform.

Hey, thanks for the comprehensive reply! Unfortunately, the lack of Last.fm scrobbling and 1000 track limit to playlists are deal breakers for me. I’m a playlist junkie, and have ones for the music I’ve bought each year, plus ones with my favourite tunes I love to shuffle. Other than that, it sounds like a decent device! If HiBy could just extend those playlists and enable a way to Scrobble, I’d be very tempted!

Hi, Thanks to the author of this post for sharing his time.
Hello Lacas. I was going to ask the same question, but I will add a detail: I always have the incredible VIPER4 Android audio engine on my (root) smartphones, resulting in a fantastic final sound. My DAC/AMP is the FiiO KA5 model, wonderful.
I would buy this toy from HiBy, but I think it will be a bit whimsical and I doubt it will be up to par. Let’s see if there are answers and I’ll decide. Thank you so much.

I wont say the output quality is much superior but considering there is no interference from phone/other signals on the R3 II when you arent streaming, the cleaner output may work better than average phones.

How good is the R3 II as a digital, usb audio transport? Is it better than an Android phone with USB Audio Player Pro installed?
I would use it with Cayin RU7.
Thanks
Lacas
