The connection issues are awful! The left earbud cuts out constantly, sometimes both of them cut out for up to a second at a time. The case on the second pair doesn’t work at all, I had to charge the second pair with the first pair’s case, and even then they only seem to charge to 70% capacity, according to my phone. Very frustrating to use, and I saw reports on reddit that I’m not isolated in experiencing these issues with this brand. Can’t find any reviewers mentioning this!

Yes, correct, tip rolling is vital for TWS with short nozzles so do figure out what’s the best for you. Thankfully the Sudio cradle is not as tight for 3rd party tips as others.

Thanks for the quick reply! I have an opportunity to get the Tolv at duty-free for under $70, so this is a wonderfully timed review.

I’ve had a few TWS models where even the smallest Sony or Final tips won’t fit the case, and a shallow tip isn’t always the answer. Like you said, depth can really matter for a good fit.

A lot of TWS designs aim for the general custom-IEM shape and wear, i.e. putting a lid on the outer ear opening, with the tip just poking into the ear canal… so they think they can get away with a short nozzle. It doesn’t always work in reality.

Sony uses longer nozzles, longer tips and deeper insertion on their TWS, and all those parts were originally created for sports earphones.

Yes, I tried with the FiiO vocal tips and they sat ok and charged and you can close the case. However, taller ones like biflange will not work.
