I have the R6 Pro (but not 2020) with about 1 TB of primarily FLAC files, and its battery is starting to fail. R6 2020 and FiiO M11 LTD are my identified replacement options, and I think that the Fii0 M11 LTD is recommended slightly over HiBy 2020 in this review. I don’t have all your technical familiarity and audiophile expertise, as I’m a simple Bose QC and Bluetooth user. I also note that Amazon is off and on about carrying these models, and whether ordering directly through the vendor retail sites or other sites is the best purchasing choice.

If anyone who has read this far has comments or recommendations, I would appreciate your expert thoughts as I get ready to press either the HiBy or FiiO button for a new DAP. Thanks much!

M11 Plus is a piece of art with an endgame sound. I play with FH7 and it sounds fantastic.

Hi. I totally disgree with you. I hace received mine and sound great. Better than my btr5 (to compress sound). Don’t get me wrong, the btr5 is great but the m11 plus is un another league. I’m using it with the fiio fa9 and the audeze LCD 2 classic closed back. Really impprves the m11 pro. Muy best dap is the astell se200 bit this one is really enjoyable.

I had the same sound characteristics from my CIEMs. Everything sounded no better than my Fiio BTR5.

That sounds like volume to me. Sometimes I can get something very loud but very tinny when underpowered.
