Its fine, relatively neutral imaging though I would throw on the Turbo mode to get a bt of snap in the Sharona low-end. No issues on power or resolution.

Hi Valeriano. Thank you for visiting us and congrats on your new RS8!

For the Hot Monster Plugin, go into the main settings, then MSEB. From there you should see a tuning style option which you should press. Initially, you will see nothing as it defaults to “local”. You must download each style by switching to online at the bottom of the screen.

When you are on the online screen you will see the 4 styles including Hot Monster. Press on it once and wait until it says “downloaded”, (wifi connection required). Once downloaded switch to the local screen and you should find the style. From there click on it to activate, (yellow icon when activated).

Hope that helps.

I have read your very good detailed review of RS8, which I recently purchased.
I need to test the Hot Monster Output plugin you mentioned but I can not find it anywhere.
Could you please tell me how to find it?
Thank you

There are a few incorrect assumptions here. We had the DAP for a while and I also have plenty of R-2R down through the years and know the routine for burn-in. Second, we had this quite some time before the launch date. We have been in business for over a decade, this is SOP for us.

But… this is absolutely unuseful, when it comes to the sonic performance if this, or any other R-2R based equipments!
People with my experience with R-2R equipments, know, for more than 40 years ( in my case ), that all R-2R material needs a long period of running ( above 400 hours ), in order for all componentes start performing as they should. All of them, no matter the brand, or the release year!
As said, i feel that all these reviews, only serve as indications of what these gadgets are able to do, never how they are able to performe in reality.
I have some R-2R based gears, and all of them, without any exception, started performing way better, more cohesive and with a substantial acoustic quality leap, after 300 hours ” minimum “. All of them!
Reviews like this, should be updated, only after this burnin period, in order for readers do know for certain, what their possible future purchases with be providing!
This says much on how reviewers think, their audiophile culture, and grade…
Nothing here in this review, worth of any meaning, once this product is brand new, and had no time to provide what it is able to.
I have to say…
