the Hugo is one of the very fewest Neutral DACs which tent so keep the musicality , many dacs including X-Sabre sacrifice musicality and give dry warmth for the sake of being this detailed, for example if you really care about the warmth / analogy for female vocals, then using Hugo Chord as a DAC is must, you get the bass and treble details yet the mids wont be dry,

i saying this based on testing on WA7tp, X-Sabre and Hugo chord.

some other reviews from Headmania stated the same as well.

using my Hugo as a DAC in my home setup since ages, will never replace it :D
