Sadly Andy I cannot confirm hiss as I can’t pair the two due to the N8 going back to Cayin a few years ago.

Would you know if the noise floor from N8 will be a concern for MEST i.e. hiss sound at 0 volume from SE and Balanced output.

Unfortunately, we no longer have an N8 here to reference as it was a loan unit but I see no reasons why it should not pair well as I always enjoyed the N8 sound signature.

If I may ask the question. . .between Mest and Legend X which one did you choose or indicate to me? Unique Melody also told me that Mentor v3 + would be an excellent choice as well.
