I agree with your assessment in many ways. I am too busy enjoying listening or doing other things to write in such detail about my impressions but you have done it for me.

I am talking to Venture to order one in and I will certainly keep you updated on what tubes I may use in the near future. It is been very educational, and I will be keeping my eyes peeled for items which interest and intrigue from you and the other writers on Headphonics.

I have not had the time to roll the tubes, something I should think about doing. Suggestions?

I am quite pumped about getting decent sound from the Venture without the sky high prices, and I did read about the E Lite being a version of the Stax SRM-T1. Do you roll the tubes at all? How would you consider the build quality to be for the price of the unit?

Sorry to keep pestering you, but I feel that the market for more affordable (relatively speaking, of course) high quality non-Stax made amps is sorely lacking and now with more and more headphone makers like HifiMAN and MrSpeakers coming out with their own competing models the community needs more variety in the offering of all configurations and prices.

Cheers!

I only had a few minutes with the BHSE in a show room floor at CanJam earlier this year but sounded great. For the Enterprise E lite a few people are suggesting it is a modded Stax SRM-T1 but with 6SN7 outputs and constant current output loads. Also reported to have a basic regulated PS using zener diodes and MOSFET follower, which sounds like a simplified KGBH power supply.

Hope that helps.

Great! I have already tracked down Venture on Ail Express and will be bombarding them with annoying questions. I used the SRM-006Tii to audition the MrSpeakers against my Stax SR-007 Mkii and I think the Stax amp was not really up to fully fleshing out the differences between the two electrostatic headphones. I did absolutely love the build quality and the ergonomics of the MrSpeakers.

The Venture looks like a reasonably (in audiophile circles, anyways!) priced way to get good results from the Stax SR-009 as well, without losing your shirt over a BHSE or Carbon e-stat amp. Just wondering if you have been able to compare the Venture with any of the other top flight Woo, Cavalli, even Stax T-8000, or BHSE amps out there?

Sorry for the bother, thanks again.

K.

Yes this one was hand made by Venture Electronics and they sell them directly from aliexpress and from their own website.

Right now I am using Voce for most rock and switching to the 007 MK2 for anything a little bass heavier on the same amp.
