Hi Ignacio. I know the Nano is an upgrade from the original Ananda but unfortunately I don’t have the a Aeolus so I can’t say anything else. I can say that the Nano are less peaky than the originals but they have better bass and are less veiled.

I have the “regular” Ananda and am thinking of going for the ZMF Aeolus. Would this be an improvement/upgrade?

Best wishes

I use a tone sweep generator to test how even the frequencies are reproduced. That’s how I found the peak. It’s not a bad one, I’ve heard much worst. It just gives the Nano a bright touch. I tamed it by dropping the peak around 3 decibels only. It’s not a con if it’s fixable. Oh and if you look around the Stealth had the same issue and some even posted some graphs in that you can clearly see the peak. The OG version also had the peak if you look around for older graphs.

You wrote “There seems to be lots of energy at the 7 kHz point that needs taming.”. So why did you not put this in the cons ? It’s kind of giving an incorrect impression to the people who will just have a look at it…
This is the major problem with the Nano specially for the people who don’t EQ…
The Ananda Stealth version (not the OG) did not have this problem. That’s why it is be the better version for those who don’t EQ.
