After reading this review, I was left wondering if DCA sent me a defective pair of the Expanse with noticeably recessed treble and subjectively far sounding highs in general, never the less perfectly matched in both channels. Obviously, with vague and distant treble, any kind of visceral realism is impossible to grasp especially with delicate solo instrumental music and female vocals. This deficiency was not subtle or required any a/b testing to my ears. My impression of the sound quality was consistent with the technology behind the Expanse in that there is audible impedance/material between the driver and the ear.

Excellent review. Glad you were able to appreciate and extract the best of what the EXPANSE can bring.

Question is around the Stealth, actually — to what extent do the amp and DAC pairings mentioned here for the EXPANSE also carry over to the Stealth?
