Thank YOU! I failed to say before that I very much appreciate your review of the FiiO DM13. I have mine in front of me, and your review is spot-on, plus the comparisons with other similar CD players provide a very helpful context for anybody considering the DM13.

As for me, I’m quite happy with it except for the BT being buggy and needing to be re-paired after each shutdown. The other negative point is the lack of a remote or app or some better visual interface for operation and checking settings. Now having to press various buttons simultaneously and hope that it works … nah. I haven’t been able to figure out how to switch the BT codecs. My DM13 seems “stuck” on SBC, and I’d like to try others on SONY and Apple BT phones.

That is useful though I believe you have to ask Fiio to send you the firmware ?

I understand a new firmware V25 has been released correcting issues like inconsistent gapless playback. That’s good news.

Give me a day on that to test a few live cds and let you know the outcome thanks.
