I do not own the Noire but have demoed it before on portable setups, and it is slightly on the power demanding side to sound dynamic and controlled in the bass. The EF-500 is definitely more powerful than the portable setups I have heard, while I think neither of the EF-500 and Aeon Noire is tuned to sound leaned / veiled, I guess it would be alright to give the EF-500 a go!
